Today, I had this irritating bee in my bonnet that just refused to leave. So I finally got to work to edit the shop banner. I totally love the new font but apparently, not everyone does. And I must admit, it’s not easy to read. Definitely not the best thing you’d want in a banner.

So I swallowed up my sadness and clicked ‘delete’. Sigh. But the banner has been changed from an old pair of gorgeous carnelian earrings (that have long since sold) to that of the dreamy rose rose gold vermeil. Ahhh… bliss. It has been a long time coming really. You really don’t know how many emails  / convos I field with regards to the earrings (can you remake them / are they still available…).

Spent the weekend tinkering around with Swarovski crystals. Some experimental and some for a custom order. All I can say, boy, do the folks behind Swarovski really know what they are doing! A lot of dazzle for something still friendly on the pocket. Shimmer, shine, dazzle your way through dreary days.

My current hot faves are these simple studs. Simple, elegant pieces that are great for everyday wear. They are pocket-friendly and great as stocking stuffers, best friends’ gifts and / or wedding entourages. Have you gotten used to the fact that it is already 2012? I haven’t. Well, in a way I have. The days have whizzed by, longer than ever and packed to the brim. The children are somewhat settled in school and have fallen into a routine of rousing early and sleeping slightly earlier. School is still pretty much a hit and miss around here. We have our good days and bad. But then, that’s life.

I’ve managed to sneak some time for a couple of new items. Pieces that are perfect for Valentine’s. Yes, it is coming! Do get your orders in early to accommodate the public holidays and postal rush. We definitely do not want to disappoint anyone.

    I’m not Irish, far from it, but I appreciate the sentiments behind the blessing.

    A dainty Swarovski crystal cube with beautiful golden hues is handwrapped to a 16 inch goldplated chain. The golden light that dances upon it, the sparkle it brings reminds me of sunshine. And I wish that you will always walk in sunshine and never want for more.

    A lovely sentiment, a modern piece that goes with everything. Wear it on it’s own or layered with other necklaces that you might already own.

    Charm drop measures an approximate 8MM, sits on a chain of 16 inches length. All findings used are goldplated. Chain closes at back with a lobster clasp.

    A Sentimental Note

    I don’t know about you but I’m entering November with a sense of shock and thankfulness. It feels as if the year has sped on by and the past 10 months have come and gone in a flash. Yet on the other hand, the thought of Christmas is particularly heartening.

    We have had a whirlwind mad October with highlights being of some changes being up in the air for the coming year. More on that soon.

    Nevermind Christmas. It feels as if this is a time for surprises. Been working with a couple of customers for quaint, customised items for their friends and loved ones. All very heartwarming. I sure hope the lucky recipients enjoy their new jewelry.

    This week, we managed to launch a small simple sweet elegant collection. A nice touch for the season, a great gift for the ones you hold dear.

    Really want to thank our lovely customers who were so amazingly patient. Our whole family was down with a bad bout of stomach flu. We spent the whole week dealing with poop and puke, and generally could not hold our foods in. I took quite a while on some orders, far beyond our typical 3 days turnaround. All packages have since been sent out the door this week. Thank you once again!

    Nature’s Buds

    Midweek Wednesday already! Term 4 has started and while I’m glad to see J back in school, it kind of creeps me out that we are but 3 more months to the end of 2011. Already 2012 calendars have sprung up for sale both online and off, sending me into denial. But let’s not go there.
