there’s no place like home

New year always seems like a good time for reflection and introspection. And I think that most people after taking stock of what happened the year past will agree, there’s no place like home.

Oh, if you haven’t quite realised, I don’t have a list of resolutions for the year. I don’t quite believe in making them. Not because they aren’t worth it but as Will Smith commented in his reply to Entertainment Tonight, if there is something worth doing, why wait for the new year? Yeap, anytime is a good time to start on changing your life for the better.

No, nothing scary but everything sweet and dainty! Belle & Boo just launched this ultra delightful Limited Edition Miniature Box Set for £50.00. I am doing all I can to resist buying it… because it is so darn BEAUTIFUL.

Arghh… If anyone is going to get us any Christmas presents, could I shamelessly request for these? :P That said, on to the wishlist this goes.

If you are going to grab it, grab it fast. It is only available for a limited run of 90 sets. And going by the popularity of Belle & Boo, I’d say it’d sell out fast.

And to round off this week, here’s a simple wish. Light a candle and watch it burn. Gaze dreamily into the flame and imagine yourself transported away. And when the flame dies, think about the happy memories of the moment.

I love these heart shaped candles. A set of 12 retails at £28.00. Each burns for approximately 4 hours, releasing a light vanilla scent. Perfect for weddings… in the UK. Seems like they only ship within the UK.

You know, my primary school teacher got it right when she wrote ‘daydreams in class’. Oh yes, and they say, life’s one big school. I’m enrolled in the school of hard knocks right now. :P

Kid In Me :: Chococlock

Find Mondays difficult to get by? Maybe this clock will help!

Seen via Chic and Charming, the chococlock makes the passing time seem more fun, and would probably have you seated at your desk on the hour.

Pour chocolates into the clock and wait for it to dispense one nugget on the hour. Of course, you could always cheat by pressing the cheat button but that might do you in. How else to make the time pass by more quickly?
