An Etsy Christmas All Decked In Red by sparklethots on Etsy (20101202)

Finally found a snippet of time to get a treasury together. Won’t you stop on by to take a look?

Sparkle Thots Jewellery :: (Necklace)

This December, a subtle bling is taking over the store. It is afterall, my birthday month. :) Fiddling with the gemmies is one major treat in itself! A couple of items are already in store.

** Prices for the Christmas mini collection are now up. :)

Pink Coral Magical by dmtgun3 on Etsy (20101109)

Ever since limits on the number of treasuries possible at any one time was lifted, many people have been busy creating them. And I am really honoured (and humbled!) that a couple of my items have found their way into the treasuries. Amongst those since I last blogged, this is my favourite.

Quite easy to tell why. One of my favourite colours! :)

Been also rediscovering my itunes library. I have a habit of not touching my collection of songs for long periods of time. Recently with the influx of holiday orders, I’ve had the music on as I work. Fun times. Good times. Yes, the collection is old but still so quirky fun.

On the playlist right now…

  1. Way Back Into Love
  2. I’m Yours
  3. Canon in D
  4. The Gift
  5. On The Side Of Me
  6. Who Am I
  7. Love Song For A Saviour
  8. L-O-V-E
  9. Songs From A Secret Garden
  10. From A Distance

Yes, a very varied mix. Obviously shuffled! What’s piping through your airspace? :D

A Girly Celebration by sparklethots on Etsy (20100803)

A Girly Celebration

Sorry, I didn’t manage to do up a Floral Monday post this week. But… BabyK turns 1 today :) Following from the baby shower we had last year, let’s just do a virtual birthday party. I created a treasury full of girly items. Things that I’d love to purchase if money was no issue. These lovely handcrafted items make amazing additions to any home.

Sparkle Thots Jewellery :: Ribbon Ring (Ring)

And … what’s a party without gifts (and games)! This time round, answer two simple questions and stand a chance to win a goldfilled Ribbons ring. :)

1. What event / thing / person would you want to “don’t forget”? (Yes, I know it is blatant murder of the language but humour me)

2. It is a birthday (party) after all. What would you want to gift?

Easy peasy. So comment away. Party open from now till 10th August. Winning entry will be drawn at random by the birthday girl.

The nitty gritty … Leave a comment here with your ‘answers’ to both questions. The winner will be announced 10th August on the Sparkle Thots blog. Be sure to use a valid email address when entering. To increase your chances of winning, tweet, blog or highlight this post on facebook! Be sure to include the URL(s) in which you did so in your comment as well.

Ooh La La Paris

Ooh la la Paris

I’ve never been to Paris, nor went anywhere remotely near. But images of the Eiffel Tower and assorted romantic notions dominate my thoughts. The Eiffel Tower always conjures up images of lovers in, well, love and of proposals on bended knee at the top. The husband, however, as other memories.

He did have the chance to visit Paris due to unfortunate turn of events which included a flight delay and other what nots. He, according to him, found himself in the purported City of Romance with his male travelling companion and no connecting flight. The airline covered their layover and when they decided to head out to visit the Eiffel Tower in its glory, they reached just as the lights were switched off. Hmm. Not much of a view there.

Sparkle Thots Jewellery :: Paris (Earrings)

Regardless, Etsy is full of items that could have made it into a Paris themed treasury but here’s my selection of 16. Now, excuse me whilst I go swop my plain studs for these Eiffel Tower ones. If only to make my mundane day a little brighter. Afterall, the weekend is almost here. You can just smell it can’t you?

And weekends typically spell dates. Right?

Tea For Two

Tea for Two

Some time ago, Etsy changed their system to allow unlimited treasuries and I had it at the back of my mind to curate one, someday. The old system of limited treasuries and having to watch the clock when the ‘old’ ones expired never worked for me. I just didn’t have the time to sit by the page to attempt to grab any. I think I did try. Once. Nearly drove me nuts.

So anyhow, after loving treasuries for so very long, I finally curated one myself. I was inspired with the notion of an afternoon Tea for Two out in the balmy fields. Probably because I was editing a listing for a necklace in my store.

Nonetheless, I hope you all like it. It sure took a while to select the 16 items (and shops) and I do think it is pretty decent for a first try. Drop by and take a look. And see the individual shops too. I’m sure they are worth the effort.

I figure that a good many people are not quite enjoying today. The children have gone back to school which probably meant heavier traffic, sleepy-eyed children (and likely their parents!) readjusting to the school routine. The humdrum continues. So let’s try to put a spring in our step with this beautifully curated treasury. It most certainly put a smile on my face when curator egomurder contacted me to say my items were a part of (not one but) two of her treasuries.

reminiscence

Brightened up my difficult week. And I hope it’d do the same for you.

** Items featured were… Holiday — Blue Lagoon and Flair — A Vintage Kind Of Sparkle respectively.

What an exciting midweek afternoon! The cool nice rains that were pelting down the entire morning had a more sinister feel in the heart of town with stretches of Orchard Road flooded. The twitter/fb/blog universe was abuzz with the news and images were being sent back and forth. Well, ok. The Singapore local community anyway.

Sparkle Thots Jewellery :: (Necklace)

Definitely nothing to do with the necklace I had finished up late last night. The oly thing in common being the colour blue. Lots of sparkles as expected of Swarovski.

Summer Trade Guide

And… been busy sending emails out for a summer trade. The lovely Danni organised a summer trade guide which went live yesterday. I’m emailing with some new friends for trades. Join in the fun!

** Above necklace, Blue Lagoon is now available at our Etsy store.

Enlightenment

Oh what a night! Diamond Wannabe got featured on Etsy’s Frontpage late last night and I had such a thrill watching the hits jump. It was a dream come true. :D Especially when I was in the awesome company handpicked by Ginger of Msbelle (you should check her out too!) She always makes the loveliest treasuries. She has a keen eye for such. :)

I’ve also finally had the time to restock both the Etsy and the official store. There are special deals on-going at both. Each have different items on sale or a different promotion. Choose which will be best for your budget.

And now, excuse me whilst I go pack up the orders and make a dash for the post office.

If you didn’t already know, I love treasuries. The one thing I missed most about not selling regularly at Etsy over the last couple of years was that I didn’t get the chance to be part of beautiful treasuries. I am a very visual person so seeing pages upon pages of curated treasuries was a treat in itself. Even more so to find yourself in them. But, since I’m back there all over again, I’ve a chance to be a part of it.

Nevermind its just something from the destash shop… Its still a start. By the way, Gaia’s Ocean, which uses those gorgeous stones are now available at our Etsy store too.

ps: I’m planning a lil something BIG soon. So check back often or subscribe to our Twitter, Fanpage or Blog. You’d want to be in the know. Trust me.

In honour of Father’s Day, here’s a treasury all decked out in stronger colours of brown and shades of black. Hope you’d have a great Father’s Day.
