Oddly enough, this past week has seen a number of custom orders. A number of them involve personalisation, handstamping on charms. There’s something rustic, yet elegant about the charms. Amongst the indie crafting community, many are doing their small bit to help donate. I’d admit that I can’t donate that much right now but together we can make a difference. For this worthy cause, I’m offering the Ribbons ring in the 3 available materials.

Getting back into the swing of things sure isn’t easy when there are so many changes taking place. Jayden is back in school. And in a much more confident place than he was last year at the same time. No tears, no scenes. Just a quiet settling in. Only frustrating thing is that he is once again faced with ‘changes’ in teachers. More on that another time. At their blog (which has been sadly neglected).

The workroom was left in a major post-Christmas mess. Which has since been sorted out into a conducive (more or less) place to work. After 4 long nights of packing, things are in their proper place. And the fingers have been raring to go! I have a lot of ideas running through my head. And I realised, Flowers and Lace is not going to just be the debut collection for 2011. It will be the overall theme.

I’m inspired and taken on seemingly long tangents off my original idea but I love how they all come together. Well, it does seem to come together with a unifying theme. To me, Flowers and Lace are integral parts of a wedding. Many a wedding have been decorated with these elements and try as I might, I can’t run away from that.
