Two Little Children

Earlier today at the bus stop…

K : God gave you two little children right mummy?
Me : two noisy little children.
K : two naughty noisy cheeky little children right?

Well… At least she knows.

We’ve been assaulted by the smog from the forest fires in Indonesia and have been seeking refuge in the aircon comfort of the airport. This is the first time the kids have had any experience with the haze of this magnitude and they aren’t taking to it too kindly. While I’m thankful that they haven’t had need to (deal with it), I wish they never did. J’s sneezing and I think his eyes are irritated. K sneezes on occasion and is irritable. Lets just hope it clears soon.

It’s no secret that I love heart themed jewelry. Cheesy maybe, but they really appeal to me. Romantic, whimsical and a touch of elegance. Just managed to list this in store (after a week of crafting!). It’s a lovely gift for everyday wear. Barely there, yet always on your mind.

life long learning

It is not all outings around here (although it does certainly look like that here on the blog). We’ve been doing lessons daily and on the go, short breaks inbetween the outings. The school did give J some assignments while K has been relatively free. But because monkey see, monkey does, they both are doing extra stuff at home.

I love that their ‘work’ is so portable. Just bundle some scrap pieces of paper together, grab a pencilbox and we are set. They’d doodle on the papers, colour their dream scenes and I’d give them simple questions to do. J gets a healthy dose of spelling to go, and we all get some time out.

Bite sized lessons on this journey of life long learning. You certainly have a long way to go!
