babies are more trouble than you thought… hah.

I was motivated to work on hairbands this week! Mainly because a certain little girl managed to break my 20 odd year old hairband to pieces. No more plastic pieces for her!

So, because I can, I got to work on a couple of new ones. On metal frames. Pretty happy with the results.

Except the model wasn’t quite cooperative. *sigh* cue memory on first line of the post. More proper shots of the hairband when I can get a better model or at least this one in a GOOD mood.

Carribean Sunset
A concoction reminiscent of the beach : the cool blue waters, the green balmy trees and the grainy sand underfoot.
Sundress, fabric headband, sandals… cocktail in hand and you are all set for a party by the beach. At sunset.

It is April again (DUH, like for 10 whole days already!). A time when I typically release special runs that are typically ‘while stocks last’. Sometimes they’d make an impact on me and I’d keep them as part of Sparkle Thots. Like Spring Blossoms. I love how they are so Sparkle Thots and then not. Yes, it all sounds confusing typed out. Hopefully you’d get what I mean.

Anyway, for April of 2010, I’ve got a mix of old-new. Fabric, vintage and the like. As soon as I can get decent shots and enough time to list them proper.  Hang in there for the ride.

GIVEAWAY TIME!

Our hair pieces are now in store! Each piece measures almost 120cm in length, more than enough ribbon left to tie at back. It ships with 2 bobby pins for an added secure fit so don’t worry. Dance around in them and they’d remain on. They make a lovely addition to the wardrobe. Girl-y and not over the top.

This first design has a deep maroon base with glittery pink cloth painstakingly handsewn one at a time. Makes a delightful focal for the tresses yet does not overwhelm. And… we’re giving one away! International friends welcome.
