Was surfing through Etsy’s Wedding Guide section the other day. Oh my, what bliss! Stockful of pretty frilly items, this particular piece caught my eye. A ‘Red Riding Hood’ Bow and Blossom brooch made of sweet pink netting and felt, it speaks whimsy with a touch of delight. Available via AAliciaAccessories.
Great for accessorising a plain white dress and getting even more mileage out of it! You most certainly do not need to be a bride to wear it.

Amazonite was the first ‘semi-precious’ stone I came across as a beader. And it became my first love. Over time, the list of favourites has grown…, exceptionally long. It does not ‘shrink’, nor is replaced. But as some new gem comes into view, it gets its moment in time.
I still love Amazonite. With the varying shades of blue. From a strong robin blue to the baby boy blue variety. I don’t quite judge which is more ‘precious’ in the gem trade but I go with the heart. I feel that each stone has its own intrinsic beauty.

A couple of days ago I laid eyes on a strand of lovely carved Amazonite roses. I had to grab them and they dutifully followed me home. I first made them into these earrings. Strung on handforged earwires, they dangle with a lil ‘tail’ at back for an added design flair.

And today, on the spur of the moment, here’s a matching ring to go with it. I personally feel that these amazonite roses go best with 925 silver. Hence, in my idiosyncratic beader way, I am not making 14K gold filled versions.
Now available in store; Blushing Blue Loves (ring) and Blushing Blue Roses (earrings).
Phew. That was quite a picture laden entry. Love affairs are so hard to explain in words!

Well, erhmm, again, the product photography shots did it in for me. I have lots of clothes to sort through (its quite amazing how one so small needs so MANY clothes) and still I get captivated by new ones. Its true there’s never enough.
This particular onesie by Jewelweeds is calling out to me…!

1. Blue Powder Blush, 2. The High Seas, 3. Ice Pops, 4. Northern Lights, 5. Maldives, 6. Blumarine, 7. The Silver Rose, 8. Terracotta, 9. Icicles
Am in desperate want of cooler weather! And I’m hoping that colour washing my world with cool blues will help to keep me cool. Whilst it doesn’t always work, it does make sure I’m fashionably dressed and accessorised. Lots of favourites in this selection because blue is also one of my favourite colours.
There is something calming, quaint and serene about it that just appeals. Ok, if forced to select a favourite piece from the items above, I’d go with Northern Lights. The colour flashes from them labradorite briolettes are just too much to resist.

Just stumbled upon an English Dept and fell in love with the airy-fairy kind of feel. I hate having bare shoulders so the elegant (a tad small) range of shrugs and boleros caught my eye. It sure beats my run of the mill black piece that I’m kind of using to death right now.

Go on, take a quick browse. And whilst you are at it, tell me, ain’t this dress lovely!

So the weather has been kind of wet here in Singapore. Almost like clockwork, the skies open up at mid-afternoon for a REALLY heavy downpour. The best thing that comes from rain like that, is the wonderful sightings of rainbows about town. And boy have there been many!
So instead of lamenting about the weather, here’s 2 items that pay special tribute to the grey skies. And you got to admit, they are rather nice (if I say so myself!). And nope, they do not have to be worn on gloomy rainy days.

Dainty gold glided birds hang beneath grey faceted glass quartz. They are searching for shelter from the looming thunderstorm. Will they find one in time? Measures a petite 2cm drop, excluding earhooks. Limited pairs available, retails at $18. (Email me to reserve!)

This one’s a showpiece wannabe! She’s sultry in black yet rather shy in nature. A large cluster of smooth smoky quartz briolettes are tightly strung together and hang off a 20 inch double stranded necklace. Closes with a heart shaped toggle clasp that can be worn at front for added detail.

Such a smooth operator!
She is made as part of a ‘prototype’. Currently unavailable. Email for customisation / details if she catches your eye.
** Please email me to reserve / request customisations. I will be doing a proper store update over the next day or so. Thanks for your patience!
