Reduce, reuse, recycle and create something quite beautiful. Make giftbows from old magazines, maps or even old wrappers and be surprised by how beautiful they can look. And it helps to reduce waste too! Perfect to make in preparation for all those Christmas gifts… Heh.

Learn how to make these bows at How About Orange.

Seen via How About Orange, this tutorial on how to make ruffled felt pillows can be found on Etsy. Of course, you can choose to buy a ready made one if you are feeling lazy. And of course, you can creatively modify the tutorial to spruce up something other than a pillow! Have fun… ruffles like these seem to be making a big comeback eh?

Originally intended to be a DIY table number setting, these make fun tealights at any party. If you have the time of course! Let your imagination run wild over the possibilities of the designs or source ready ones over the internet.

Hop on over to 100 Layer Cake for the details. And erhmm, not quite child friendly in terms of the ‘doing’.

I just spotted this DIY craft on All About You and whilst I’m going googoo gaga over it, I’m not nearly crazy enough to attempt it for the new baby girl. But you can try and share it with somebody! :D

A simple idea, make something personal for someone who’s travelling. Adapt accordingly to where your receipient is travelling to or… even to suit a different occasion. You can even do up a couple for out of town wedding guests in place of a welcome basket.

With the craziness that we have been seeing in the world these days, there’s no time like now to tell those you love that you love / miss them. Check out these simple heartfelt printables over at Vale Design.

It really does not take a lot to say so much.

Whimsical me thinks this would look absolutely adorable in a little girl’s nursery. :D But no, I’m not quite about ready to do it right now. Our baby girl’s due in a week’s time but really, its ANY time now. For those with more time on their hands, hop on over to check out the tutorial for this beautiful garland.

And oh, its actually made for a wedding. But but, it’d be awesome for a spring party decor too eh?
