Things have been somewhat blue around here. Not because I’m feeling down or under the weather but really, the extremes in the weather. One moment it is all blue skies and blazing hot, and the next dark and cloudy with heavy raindrops pelting down. So this week’s Floral Monday will be dedicated to the blue flowers…

They get their nourishment and drink just the same. And sport a pretty shade of blue. Why let the pastels have all the fans? These can also be just as drool worthy. Just keep an open mind and a ready heart to share some love for pretty blue flowers. Perhaps they’d make the proverbial Monday blues disappear. (Ok, some have been dyed. But think of them as erhmm, mood enhancers!)

Many more items to photograph, edit and list. Sometimes I wish I have an elf or two in the workshop. Not the little imp that babyK is growing into. With Jayden back in school, we are readjusting our routine yet again. Orders are still being processed within the 3 day (usually 1 day out the door) turnaround so that much, I am thankful.

Upcoming, you’d see classic pieces of elegant charms that can glam up the outfit or tone down for the weekend. As well as a new series I am working on of romance and sparkly sparkly Swarovski. Lots of lovely gemmies (in my opinion) that were uncovered in Project Declutter (ie, find the beading table).

Country Road sure took longer than I expected. A whole lot more patience and time. It felt like a zillion wrappings were made. I’m quite glad to see it all done up. It was sitting there nagging at me for the longest time.

This bracelet is full of tiny teeny andalusite rondelles. A lovely earthy sepia kinda tone, paired with a smattering of (comparatively) voluminous clear crystal quartz. Perfect for a country kind of finish. I’m thinking “British India” and “Country Road”. Rustic charm and elegance.

As promised… bracelets are coming back to the store! I have been struck once again by the simple beauty of bracelets to want to make them again. I used to hate making them because it was so difficult with different sized wrists and all but seeing some pretty ones (in tutorials and in stores) just got me hooked.

Silver Ropes

925 silver wires have been handwrapped to form the bangle frame. Each with an internal diameter of 2.5inches, suitable for most Asian sized wrists. Each bangle is simply accessorised with either a singular mauve shell pearl or that an a chinese character (Love / Happiness). Simple, effective, clean lines. Perfectly charming.

And for a variation, a gold plated piece. Adorned with a chirpy bird to dance around as you go about your daily activities.

I haven’t quite been doing bracelets for a bit but when I saw this chain sitting innocently in the supply store, I *knew* that a small collection of bracelets would be on the cards. So here is the first in the series. A antique gold plated pewter charm of a charming bear carrying a single flower sits right smack in the middle of the chain. The bracelet closes with a heart shaped toggle clasp for added whimsical charm.

And… it matches this pair of earrings PERFECTLY. Great if you are one of those whose accessories ‘die die must match’ sort of person.

Some time in December I received a customisation request from a customer to make a set of 6 bracelets for her bridesmaids (and herself). Something to commemorate her ROM, to thank her dear friends for their help, to celebrate their friendship and to remember her special day (of course).

And this is the result of the email discussions we had. 6 silver bracelets, accented with starfish charm and accompanied by a lil pearl at the side. They have named it ‘Patrick’ (LOL), after Spongebob’s best friend.

I am beginning to feel like I just spent a day at the beach. After spending an afternoon working on these bracelets for a really lovely customer, I must say I am pleased with the result of all these starfish staring back at me. I sure hope she likes them. More eye candy available at Flickr.

… and we are busy rushing orders out so that they reach in time for the special day. We are dealing mainly with the local orders right now as the 6-10 working days (normal, best possible time) transit of packages to the States is really really rather tight.

We are pleased to say though, that there are a lot more packages being shipped internationally and hope that the lucky ones love the jewelry pieces.

During this period, we head out to the post office daily to ensure all local packages reach in time for Christmas and you can select our pouches to minimise your giftwrapping ordeal. So there is still time to shop! Meantime, we don’t have much time to dream up new designs.
