Spent copious amount of time at Daiso, the local (ok, more like imported from Japan) version of a dollar store where everything retails at $2. Lots of fun! I spent an insane amount of time at the kitchen section with bento boxes, sets and the like. So when I spotted this lunch bag tutorial on Lilac Silhouette, I just had to share.

Like she mentioned, it looks easy enough. Maybe I can motivate myself to do it … when the kids go to school? Tutorial is part of a freebie from Make Good Books.

I ‘fess. The clutch caught my eye partly because of the fabric used. I distinctly remember having a skirt with similar prints. It’d be too ‘matchy-matchy’ though to wear both the skirt and carry the clutch. But I think the clutch works rather nicely in this print. Available at Didi Lemoure.

Orrkaaay… This testifies to the power of photo styling. I’m not particularly taken by green, nor green bags, much less green bags in canvas but this picture of Angela Adams’ canvas collection just made me *want* to get the bag.

Interrupting the usual Floral Monday series for… Day Out @ Cathay!

On Saturday, I dragged the two guys (husband and son, who were you thinking of?!) down to Cathay for some shopping. Was very rewarding with Fash Bash going on and am really happy with the loot.

It was a good time to catch up with some friends, including I Want That! I first met them at Poppy Girls’ Day Out last year (eeps, literally last year!) and they are still as sweet as ever.

Then after Fash Bash, we made it to Wood Would. Love their stuff and would have bought everything if the pockets allowed.

Only came away with some labels from French General. All in all, a nice haul for a Saturday shopping trip.

I’d love to carry this bag around town. For a late afternoon cuppa with a friend, for a date with the husband in the evening, for stashing my favourite read along with the trusty ipod (and the rest of the necessities). Surely it will work with everything in the wardrobe?

We’d be such good friends, this bag and I.

As for now, I had a long week …  I’m off to bed (it is 2.32am, insane I know!) and will be back to settle admin stuff when the rest of Singapore is awake. I must admit, I am kind of glad it is Friday already! (Although it is scary to think that February ends tomorrow…)

When Steve Jobs first launched the Macbook Air, he placed the mac in an envelope. This is a quirky throwback to the press conference and is something I am lemming. Not that my macbook is a Macbook Air. Or that it travels all that much.

Mine stays home quite a fair bit, moving occasionally from room to room.

I had favourited Etsy shop Vicky Riley but *hangs head* forgot about them until I spotted them on the FP yesterday. I loved the bag featured and went in to discover that not only were they already on my list of favourites but that they were having a sale!

Really worth it if you ask me. All handmade and has a shabby chicness about it. Perfect for a casual day out or for the little girls in your life.
