In a romantic mood these days and these corsages by Erase & Repeat just caught my eye. These look like the perfect way to dress up for a special occasion, or just to brighten up days that seem dull and boring. Handmade by Sina, they are lovingly constructed with silk and dressed up with Swarovski.

These ship from Singapore, so hurry and order them if you want them for Valentines! Or if you are already planning to celebrate your union with your Valentine, why not get some for the bridal party?

I am still searching for something decent and nice for this coming Chinese New Year but have come up empty all this while. That is, until I discovered Ananya today. I LOVE her prints and designs and am really tempted to part with the money for these lovely pieces.

Am not sure whether they’d arrive in time though. But these gorgeous floral prints are completely droolworthy. The blue piece is delightful with the detailed smocking and the floral dress looks lovely enough as it is. I don’t think I would be able to select a different fabric.

I also love this skirt though I am positive that the husband would shake his head in dismay. It is very ‘me’ so you can imagine how many similar pieces there are in the wardrobe. Pretty pretty!

Ananya is run by Ananya (who else?), out of Bangkok, Thailand. She uses really lovely designer fabrics and offers customisations as well. Go check her out!

Perhaps one too many episodes of Project Runway have gotten me in the mood for indie clothings. Nevermind that the good designers either came away from the big labels, or get poached by them, I am finding a treasure trove of such designers on Etsy. (And did you know that Leanne or leanimal is on the latest season?!)

Whatever it is, I’m loving these two finds! Erina embroidered blouse by erinawang and the Make It Work charm necklace by thevintagepearl.

Like Chelsea of Frolic, I love this dress. Also check out the rest of the selection available at Makool. If nothing else, her photography is lovely.

This dress retails at USD 675.

****************

This week, I feature a selection of items on my wishlist. Whimsical, beautiful, gorgeous, lovely, amusing. All desirable. Get your cheques ready. A good number of them don’t come cheap. Then again, that’s the beauty of wishlist. They are wishes. They are fantasies. And they don’t always come true in real life. But one can dream!

Spotted this on Intro and *knew* I just had to post it up.

rocker baby on etsy

Whoever said that baby girls should only be dressed in pinks? I love the selection of clothes made by Rocker Baby. Found while browsing Trunkt, I must say, if she made them in larger sizes, I’d be tempted to get them for myself.

Whilst a number of the mini me clothes for girls are somewhat overdone and make them look way too adult-ish, I feel that this range just makes them look awfully chic and cute. There is a fashionista waiting to be birthed in every little girl. :D

Start them young you say? I heart *rockerbaby*. Really I do.

Scarves3
big box: batik print scarf from Banana Republic- imported, 100% cotton- $49
handmade: purple grey scrolls scarf by Margot Bianca- hand dyed & batiked, 100% silk- $45

A couple of days ago, Jena of Modish ran a really cool feature on big box vs handmade with case in point of scarves. What really got me was that handmade really beat the big brands hands down. After having started my own jewelry site, I have made out a small Indie treat each month for myself. As a form of reward.

I am convinced that the indie sellers really put an insane amount of effort into making everything beautiful so having this feature was proof that I was not hallucinating. Sweet!
