So, ‘just like that’ we have come to the end of the first work week of 2011. Have you been keeping your resolutions? This year, I’m attempting two photo projects :- 365 Days of Hearts and A Photo A Day — Kids Edition. Only day 7 but I am missing a couple here and there. Still ‘good’ nonetheless. And which also brings me to my next point. Sometimes, whilst crafting the proverbial muse goes AWOL. It drives me nuts when that happens so for this year, to spur myself on, I’m organising a gift exchange. With a difference.

My Family Valentine

Every quarter, we’d come out with a theme. It can be a word, a phrase, a sentiment. Each person then goes off to mull over the theme and decide what it means to her (ok, I’m generalising but usually it has been ladies galore in the crafting circles). If you are interested to participate, leave a comment and I’d do a name swap.

I’d give you the name of someone you are gifting to and then comes the fun part!

1. You take the initiative and go read her blog / check out her shop / see her photostream for what interests her
2. Collate a list of items. One of which must be handmade
3. You pack up the gift package and ship it off in time for the deadline
4. Stalk your own mailbox for your gift
5. Open it and blog about it
6. When your recipient has blogged about her gift, you share why you chose those items (and link back to her post)

Important things to note :-

1. closing date for round 1 is 14th Jan, ship so that your recipient receives in time for Valentine’s
2. indicate whether you’d be keen on shipping international
3. leave a comment to indicate participation, I’d get back to you shortly!
