been busy rushing out special orders for a couple of lovely customers. Am loving the results! It is a short rushed week for us. We are headed up North to visit relatives this Friday night and will return only on Monday. All paid orders will be shipped starting from Tuesday when we return.

can’t quite believe it is already Thursday. the week has flown by with a re-emergence of the nasty flu virus, a scramble to get our travel documents sorted out, orders to fulfill and customisations to work out.
a couple of new items that will be loaded as soon as I clear the rest of the admin. so for now, they remain, eye-candy.
Spring cleaning in progress…!
If you have been around for a bit, you’d have noticed that there have been subtle changes in Sparkle Thots. Over the past year, there has been a gradual shift towards the semiprecious stones and charm / momento series, and a lessening of the ‘odds and ends’.
I still have mountain loads of beads, findings and charms that I am destashing to make room for the new ‘direction’. I’d still keep a small collection that will from time to time be released.
Meantime, the big spring clean is on. Check out the destash shop! There’s an assortment of items that can be used for jewelry, crafts or even scrapbooking. It really is up to you. And, HEARTS are on sale. You can’t buy love, but hearts, you can!
Weekend’s here. And not a moment too soon. I had a reasonably productive week and for that I am glad. I’ve gotten some new items done up and am hoping to list them over the weekend. Watch for them!

We’re back! Thank you all for making 2009 an awesome year for Sparkle Thots. We could not have done it without you. We thank you for helping with our stock clearance in December. We cleared much of the inventory and are back again with a couple of old favourites and a fresh collection ripe for the picking.
We had a crazy busy start to 2010 with the whole family falling sick which delayed the launch of our new site… BUT, it is now up and running. And better than ever if we may add.
With this latest revamp, we are pleased to introduce discount coupons, birthday privileges, special buys and more. Take some time to explore.
I wish I could say the skies were the same lovely shade of blue as the earrings but no… It is quite cloudy over here. Gray and overcast, it is cool though. I’m quite happy that we survived the week. With the flu bug making itself comfortable in the household, the week has been filled with a constant swiping of noses, struggling with feeding meds, changing diapers, feeding and oh, school.
The weekend never looked so lovely.
More shop updates over the weekend. Just as soon as the camera battery is recharged. It died on me right in the middle of a product shoot this morning. Even the camera feels it is overworked.

Busy loading the store in preparation for Valentine’s. It’s creeping up on us… really. It almost feels like Christmas has only just passed. In any case, a couple of items are marked down, left with one item in stock or priced at a steal. They make lovely gifts if I may so, especially the charm necklace, Charmed — A Little Loving.
So erhmm, what are you waiting for?
By the way, a trip might be on the cards so be sure to get your orders in pronto. (Now for me to sort out the documents for our travel…)
So erhmm, 2010 has already started and we are already halfway through the first week. Things have been off to a rocky start with the entire family falling prey to the flu virus. A pretty darn strong one I must add. In fact, we are all still recovering. If you can call having absolutely no voice a step in the direction of ‘recovery’. GAH.
A number of emails have come in to ask about what happened to the shop, whether the discount is still on yadayadayada. I’m sorry, the discount is no longer applicable and the shop has been taken offline. I’m trying to work on the revamp but I don’t quite make sense of all the 01s. I’ve loaded a couple of items on Etsy (new never seen before ones as well as treasured favourites) and you are all welcome to shop there. Or if you have found something you fancy on Flickr and want it, drop me a note. I’d see what I can do.
Meantime, off to work on some ‘Valentine’ themed items. As fast as I can because, you know, FLU. Bah humbug.
As 2010 rolls in, we’ve taken Sparkle Thots offline. As we had mentioned earlier, we’re doing a major overhaul of the site’s backend and hope to return with a streamlined version soon. Meantime, our shop urls now redirect to our Etsy shop where fresh new items can be found alongside our popular Ribbons ring.
