From the monthly archives: February 2009

Ok, this craft makes for a pretty sight though I am not sure whether you can part with any old book in such a manner. I like my pages nice and crisp, or at the very least, unfolded. So a whole book with its pages thus folded is kind of scary for me.

Still here’s the tutorial because, you got to admit, it makes for a pretty nice upcycled book project.

Another bag charm … still a work-in-progress. If you are interested in customising a bag charm, feel free to email me or just leave a comment. I’d get back to you as soon as I can.

As for now, I had a long week …  I’m off to bed (it is 2.32am, insane I know!) and will be back to settle admin stuff when the rest of Singapore is awake. I must admit, I am kind of glad it is Friday already! (Although it is scary to think that February ends tomorrow…)

A touch of whimsy to end the week…

Been busy with a few custom orders these few days. Amongst them is this lovely bag charm. A couple of colleagues requested for something that they could gift another colleague who had recently lost her grandma. A really nice gesture..! A flurry of emails later, this resulted.

We all hope she’d like it!

… heh. But really sweet!

A walk along the beach and his now fiancee was presented with baby pink balloons. One each by random strangers. Each balloon came attached with a handwritten message which reminded her of why he loved her and why he wanted to marry her. And at the end of the walk, he proposed and started their walk into another phase of their lives.

Everybody go … “AWWW”!

A stark contrast from how an engineer in a local tv drama series is supposedly going to promise. From the shots, he will pop the all important question during a game of ‘truth or dare’ whilst a group of friends were playing Spin the bottle. GROAN.

First read at Thoughtful Day.

Couldn’t quite get the cheery mix out of my head. So here’s a bracelet featuring the same Swarovski bicone centred Czech glass. This time paired with Swarovski pearls for a dash of fun, straight off the cuff!

Wear it by itself, or matched with Summer Cocktail! Either way, it adds a refreshing boost of colour to your outfit. Available now only at Sparkle Thots. :)

Fruity Lifesaver Soaps!

Just stumbled upon LoveLee Soaps, and am tickled to death by their quirky designs. These would make for a great way to entice children to wash their hands. I would! Sure beats the usual rectangular shaped ones. :D

Or if the lifesaver doesn’t catch your eye, how about the following?

Hazelnut Cappuccino Kitty Soap

Cotton Candy Carousel Horse

Blue Bird Nest Soap Set

Or check out the rest in store!

If you are in Singapore, you’d notice that the weather starts out nice and sunny in the morning and POURS by early afternoon. I mean really pour. It kind of puts a dampener on my spirits. I like rain but this heavy a downpour is too much, too fast.

So I dug into my bead box and tried out this simple combination. It reminds me of warm summery days… when the flowers are in full bloom, all bright and cheerful. :)

Out in store now. And on sale because I need a little cheering up with the dark clouds looming outside the window. Gee…

Amy of Pikaland shared this downloadable print last week. I think it is still available. A cute illustration don’t you think?

1. Dusty Rose, 2. Gold Honey, 3. Summer Decadence, 4. Golden Dreams

Quite a number of items sold out within the last month. And some emails came in asking for remakes… but I simply can’t. No more materials! So here’s a quick shout out that these items are going… and that you’d better grab them before they really sell out. All one piece left!

Shoppe now!
