First spotted via Minor Details, I found this Lunar Baby Thermometer an interesting device. Not much is available with regards to the availability nor the technical aspects (whether it really is as useful as it claims to be). A lot is being said of its design, which makes it simple and intuitive to use.

Designed by Kong Duck Young, the thermometer has won the Red Dot award design concept for Life Science. According to the website, the temperature is easily taken by placing a hand over the baby’s forehead to measure the internal heat of the body. I am not too sure, however, whether the reading would be as accurate as the ‘traditional’ thermometers or even the in-ear scan sort.
