the little prince
Jul 15th, 2008 by Ruth
Back in JC, we were made to read The Little Prince (from a long list of other choices) and do a book review. Thus began the love affair with the children’s book. And one that lasted till now. Even as I sorted through the books we have, I find a grand total of FOUR books shared between the husband and I.
You’d understand if you read the book before. The whimsical drawings, the simple yet touching storyline, just strikes a chord within you. Now Jayden seems to love flipping through the thin paperback, browsing the pictures in such earnest you think, for a minute, he actually knows how to read.
Meantime, I am wondering whether the local stores stock the DVD series of the animation. Conceptualised by author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, and based on the character The Little Prince, it is an old animation that still charms. It is one of those that grows on you, even with age.
Experience The Little Prince to the fullest through the site. What drew my attention was the artwork submitted for the calligram contest. Pity the image is too small for the words to be read.
And if you have been captivated by the pilot and his simple friend, here is where you can get more merchandise.

I so loved The Little Prince! I read it repeatedly in my teens, and again in my twenties. This pleasant reminder urges me to enjoy it again in my forties. You are responsible forever for those you have tamed…my rose…
I cried like a baby (every single time!) through the last pages.
Hi Kathy! I didn’t expect that I’d actually find something quite this good out of holiday homework! But I’m glad I did.
