Well, as much as I know diamonds are touted as a girl’s best friend, Sparkle Thots is not ready to stock up on those rocks to make jewelry with. We’d stick to semi-precious stones for the moment. Thank you very much.

Cool Jewels Ice Tray

But these jewels are loads of fun. Make them for drinks and bling up the party. Throw in some food colouring and turn it into a gemstone feast. They are a lot cheaper than the real thing and make for a great conversation starter. Of course they do not last as long as the real thing.

Get them from Perpetual Kid at USD 6.99 (Picture taken from site)

The last two days have been loads of fun! On Tuesday it was a private sale with loads of laughs, followed by dinner with friends. On Wednesday it was a very productive day with fresh inspiration and awe at the wonderful loot. I have half a mind to keep everything for myself but I know I cannot. The pocket would protest.

So here is a sneak peek at what is in store. Soon to hit the virtual store. Meanwhile check back often!

Antique Hearts… Loaded with hearts in a dreamy way… yet not over the top. Featuring antique gold plated hearts hanging from looped earwires clutching the charms in a heart loop.

The new collection’s going to be… Secret Garden. Come explore with me!

By the way, we are taking a break from Maad this month. Hopefully we’d be back in April. :)

Woohoo! After days of tracking and refreshing the tracking page, my shipment is finally on board the delivery vehicle. Almost delivered…

My precious… Loot.
Its an assortment of goodies for Sparkle Thots. I have been waiting for what feels like the longest time.

Its a freaky 12lbs / 5kg. Anyone returning from US want to do my luggage load of precious goodies? :D

And no. I do not use VPost as it sucks big time. I used them once… Their customer service is a disaster and it takes so long to reach. And the cost savings is not phenomenal enough to make me want to put myself through it. Again.

I am waiting for the regular recycling guys to come deliver the new batch of recycling bags. I chucked out the previous bag on the stipulated date but I think they forgot that it was CNY and they never came to collect. So the husband lugged it downstairs to the green bin. There usually is at least a milk carton or two. We buy the Meiji 2 litre ones and I am freshly awed and inspired to try and create something magical with them.

Just look at these awesome lightings!

Of course I should stick to jewelry crafting… and not get my hands in too many crafty ideas. But these are so beautiful. Anyone wants my cartons?

Heads up from Shelterrific and Leah H.

Sometime late last year I stumbled upon Dawn’s blog. I thought the URL was easy peasy to remember. But of course I forgot it. I tried various permutations but never got it right. So you can imagine my delight to have rediscovered it again in December.

Her whimsical drawings, doodling and paintings drew me in and kept my attention. She’s in Australia right now for studies and her blog tracks her life there.

Now I am not taking any chances. She is added to bookmarks, favourites and followed on flickr and bloglines. Hop over and be enchanted.

One of the nicest thing about being able to make jewelry is that you get to customise items specifically for your outfits. So on a whim I decided that this dress needed a matching set to make it even more pretty.

As a result, you’d see Two In Love (earrings) paired with a dainty necklace named Fleur. Fleur is made of quartz carved flower, pink rose carved Czech glass beads and gold plated chains. See she really ties the look altogether! Not viewable from this picture is the matching bracelet, Mona Lisa.

I think they go really well together. Oh yes, that is Jayden you see in the picture. He just turned one a couple of weeks ago :)

I started this morning off with a long and fun slew of emails with a group of lovely ladies. It started off on wedding planning and escalated into a huge ball of laughs. But I came away having to bead something ‘lovely’. So Two In Love was done whilst replying to said emails. Its a pretty piece. Simple, sweet and to the point.

OOAK!

(Yes, yes… I know its a little pricier but trust me, its worth it. The components were expensive actually.)

After a long journey, Belle is back. She was on-show at a retail outlet for a few weeks and has since come back home to Sparkle Thots. While she is happy to be back, she is looking for a home where she can share her adventures freely.

Belle is a pretty girl and is perfect for a young girl. She features a handmade clay doll that holds on to 2 hearts. She is lightly accented with red coral beads and silver plated filigree.

All findings used are silver plated. Closes with a lobster clasp.

She retails at SGD 25. Fastest fingers first. Available only at Sparkle Thots. ONE PIECE ONLY.

Decided to go for a fresh new look for Sparkle Thots. Everything else remains the same.

The soft gentle pieces, the delicate jewelry… for the feminine you.

Have you seen it yet?

Kitty is an adorable piece for a young girl. Made with antique gold plated pewter (lead free) charm and simply accentuated with a rose carved czech pink glass bead, this cute lil piece just charms her way to your heart.

Chain length is 14″. Perfect for lil girls. Or have it on a longer chain just for you. Available in store now.
