Its silly to think that I am already drooling over the Sampler items even before it gets here. Partly because of their amazing photography and partly because they have got a bunch of great contributors who make everything irresistible. Just like these handmade art cards. They are so wonderfully decorated that they are perfect to be framed and used as pictures on the walls. What’s more, as they are one of a kind, you are ensured that no one else would have the same one as you.

Or you could use them as cards as they were originally intended. But what the heck, displaying them is so much better. Or wait, write a note to yourself and place them out for display. Heh.

Check out their website for more information.

After having been hooked on The Sampler, I have been checking their homepage for updates and highlights of items contributed on a daily basis. Yes, I even subscribe to Samplergram. And the latest thing from Sampler contributors to have caught my eye are these awesome looking headbands by Beth Whitcomb.

What’s more these are reversible. Retails at USD 7. Check out her website for more goodies.

If you’re on Etsy, you would have known of their “next big thing” — The Storque. And if you are a Singapore Etsy crafter, you would be beaming with national pride that Chu Ling of Ling Glass has been featured up there. :) Its the latest buzz and we are so darn proud.

Now, I wonder when I will get my turn?

Meanwhile, I have been trying very hard to craft and have a few items in the pipeline. Ready to launch in a couple of days.

Oh yes…! Here is something I have been tinkering around with. Rings. Not for sale yet though. Any thoughts. Would you like to see rings as a regular feature on Sparkle Thots? Hmm.

With the hot weather these days, it is just impossible to work. I am glad that my internet connection is up again though. Regular reporting should return shortly. Give me some time to ease into the routine. Meanwhile, Jayden says HI. Jayden who? Jayden the little boy who is all of 7 months, who is keeping me busy. Beside the beads that is.

Daisy Posy retails for USD 4.50 at both Sparkle Thots, the Store or the Etsy store. Check both out. By the way, did you know Sparkle Thots is Paypal Verified? Just thought you might want to know. So shop away with confidence.

Hi everyone… :) Yup, I am still alive. Though a certain internet provider is making me see red. And no, its not just because of their corporate colours. Basically, I still do not have internet access in spite of having signed a new plan since the 7th.

But enough about that. Better to incorporate the redness into new items right? So here’s my “anger management piece”. After finishing it, the mood swung to all christmas-sy as you can see why.

Cherries, strawberries, or whatever your eye imagines them to be.
This delightful pairing of green and red immediately brings a Christmassy mood to me with the vibrant hues resulting from the red corals and green swarovski. Wear them for a casual look or just to get into the mood… no matter what time of the year it is.

Hop on over to Sparkle Thots to get yourself a pair today.

Also… there is a price revision for shipping! This all works to make your items that much more affordable (look here for more details). Only because we managed to source cheaper but just as good envelopes and rework the shipping charges. PLUS, if you are a Singaporean or are living in Singapore, get yourself a customer account at Sparkle Thots and you are in the loop for special treats. All because we want you to buy Indie here in Singapore.

Lastly… if you are a crafter from Singapore and sell on Etsy, come join us here. The fun has already begun! Don’t miss out any further. *winks at those already in the group* Expect some changes to the site as we work to highlight Etsy in Singapore!

What do you get when two great artistes meet and connect? A fantastic piece that brings you the best of both worlds. I had shared about Ling Glass a couple of months back and today am pretty happy to feature her again in collaboration with Jewel Parlour.

This beautiful necklace features a butterfly encased in glass pendant made by Ling Glass, while the rest of the chain and all is done up by Michelle of Jewel Parlour in silver tones. Its a simple, elegant mix that is great for daily wear or for dressing up. Depends on how you carry yourself.

Get it here at USD 29.

As seen via Love It A Lot (who got it from Yanko Design), this toaster oven sure takes toaster ovens up one notch. I love the idea of scribbling messages on the toast and slathering it with jam or some other yummy stuff. Kaya would be great. Throw in a tehpeng (iced milk tea) and all would be great.

Designed by Sasha Tseng, this nifty gadget comes with a message board on which you can scribbe a message and have it burned into the toast. Especially useful for turning harried mornings around with a dash of fun. Or if you want, burn up your hate messages. But be sure to eat them up before anyone sees them. Of course, you could leave your lil notes of love lying there for the special someone.

Talk about personalising your Ah-Kun treat. Singaporean readers would know what I am talking about.

With such beautiful handcrafted stitch markers, one would be tempted to take out the old projects just so to show them off. No, not the half done projects but these miniature works of art by Annie. Her latest stitchmarker of the teacup series features the daintiest of teacups matched with a spoon. Made of sterling silver, this stitch marker is a beauty to behold.

Was chatting in one of the Etsy forums when the topics swerved to highlight Vaeda… and my oh my, how gorgeous are her photographic works! They are simply breathtaking in their beauty, quiet, subtle and serene. A touch of surrealism as well. Pardon the gushing. You just have to check her out.

Her pieces are works of art as she does magic behind her lens. Taking pictures of nature, she archives them for years to come, long after the moment has passed. Priced at USD 27 for a 8 x 10″ piece, its pretty affordable. Frame it up and you have something to adorn your wall or mantelpiece with.

Truly, a picture says a thousand words. This particular piece is titled Against the Grain. It retails at USD 27.
