Sparkle Thots

Rhodochrosite roses. All lovely in their pinkish hues. Waiting for new homes… As soon as I can get the time to list them at Sparkle Destash. I got these some time back and just didn’t quite have the time to use them. Every now and then, I’d take the strand out and stare lovingly at them. Only to keep them back in the bead box for another time.

As with a whole stash of beads. Argh. All the moolah. I’m rich in beads. Not money. Drats.

This, however, got made into a pair of earrings. Vintage faux pearls in a chrome kind of colour are handwrapped to CZ studded flower earposts. All findings used are 925 silver. Also coming soon to store. Or email me for a reservation.

With Valentine’s fast approaching, my love for all things pink and pastel-y has a legitimate outlet. This latest piece follows the palette I am currently infatuated with. All feminine, sweet and elegant. Enjoy.

As if it is not bad enough to come back to a heatwave (or what feels like one!) in Singapore, the sweltering heat is made to feel even hotter by the fact that we returned from Genting. Made the heat so difficult to bear. GAH. I’m still fumbling my way back into a routine. Way too many changes on the homefront.

But, you’d be happy to know that the shop has gotten a restock and some are pretty affordable. At least in my opinion they are. Thank you all for loving the new site and letting me know that you can see the progression of my designs. It does make me happy!

just got my hands on some lovely glass briolettes. Lovely faceting, a nice weight… basically, the look for less. Handwrapped with 925 silver wires on silver chain for a lariat that reminds me of rain. Refreshing for such a time as this.

been busy rushing out special orders for a couple of lovely customers. Am loving the results! It is a short rushed week for us. We are headed up North to visit relatives this Friday night and will return only on Monday. All paid orders will be shipped starting from Tuesday when we return.

can’t quite believe it is already Thursday. the week has flown by with a re-emergence of the nasty flu virus, a scramble to get our travel documents sorted out, orders to fulfill and customisations to work out.

a couple of new items that will be loaded as soon as I clear the rest of the admin. so for now, they remain, eye-candy.

Spring cleaning in progress…!

If you have been around for a bit, you’d have noticed that there have been subtle changes in Sparkle Thots. Over the past year, there has been a gradual shift towards the semiprecious stones and charm / momento series, and a lessening of the ‘odds and ends’.

I still have mountain loads of beads, findings and charms that I am destashing to make room for the new ‘direction’. I’d still keep a small collection that will from time to time be released.

Meantime, the big spring clean is on. Check out the destash shop! There’s an assortment of items that can be used for jewelry, crafts or even scrapbooking. It really is up to you. And, HEARTS are on sale. You can’t buy love, but hearts, you can!

Weekend’s here. And not a moment too soon. I had a reasonably productive week and for that I am glad. I’ve gotten some new items done up and am hoping to list them over the weekend. Watch for them!

We’re back! Thank you all for making 2009 an awesome year for Sparkle Thots. We could not have done it without you. We thank you for helping with our stock clearance in December. We cleared much of the inventory and are back again with a couple of old favourites and a fresh collection ripe for the picking.

We had a crazy busy start to 2010 with the whole family falling sick which delayed the launch of our new site… BUT, it is now up and running. And better than ever if we may add.

I wish I could say the skies were the same lovely shade of blue as the earrings but no… It is quite cloudy over here. Gray and overcast, it is cool though. I’m quite happy that we survived the week. With the flu bug making itself comfortable in the household, the week has been filled with a constant swiping of noses, struggling with feeding meds, changing diapers, feeding and oh, school.

The weekend never looked so lovely.

More shop updates over the weekend. Just as soon as the camera battery is recharged. It died on me right in the middle of a product shoot this morning. Even the camera feels it is overworked.
