Citrine is one of the three traditional birthstones for November and is the only stone featured in this necklace. I love the way the pale yellow cluster droops and hangs, almost like the last lingering ray of sunlight at sunset.

This necklace is made of a cluster of citrine oval drops that hang from a 16 inch gold plated chain. Really pretty. Soft hues and elegance. A subtle piece to pretty up the outfit.
Leave a comment to reserve / enquire for more details. I’d list it in shop when I get the time! Available in limited quantities only.

Hopefully, I’d be able to load some new items later today. But for now, here are some sneak peeks at a customisation order I have been working on. Earrings are made of smokey quartz rondelles, ‘topped’ off with a tassle at the base. The stones really catch the light very well. The bracelet is made of cherry quartz faceted rectangles and are matched with puffy circle smokey quartz.
Doing this customisation has gotten me in the mood to add tassles to EVERYTHING!

I was just searching thru flickr when I spotted a polaroid shot. And from there, I went on to search for polaroids. I guess you should have heard the (sad) news that polaroid films are going to be phased out. And whilst there is a campaign on the web to save polaroid, photographers worldwide are having a field day with
the wonderful medium. I love the instantaneous way the film develops, literally before your very eyes… it really would be sad to see it go away, forever.
Here are some of my favourite polaroid images from Flickr. Some are just scanned images of the polaroid shots, others are creative uses of the polaroids. Have fun browsing. All images belong to their respective owners.

Now don’t you think we should save polaroid?

For more really great images that have been curated into a book, check out For The Love of Light. Now available for sale at USD 49.95, inclusive of shipping.

This FP blew me away. So I had to come and share NOW. While the treasury is still ‘live’ that is.

GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS.

I just sneaked a peek at my flickr favourites and I love the mosaic that resulted. Talk about a dose of inspiration! It is also very telling of my favourite things :- flowers, pastels and hearts. And you’d spot one of me inside.
Click thru to see the page, and go and *heart* them too! Or add me to your friends’ list.
I need to *heart* more photos too. Maybe I’d post the ‘next’ page of flickr favourites when I’ve added enough. Meantime, be trigger happy!

Not sure if you have been noticing a few new icons / links in the sidebar these days… they are there for a reason. I do support these causes. I stumbled first upon We Are Wonderwomen because I was curious to know what the fuss was about Molly Lee. Yes, I know she had won the inaugural Singapore Woman Award conferred on her by Vanilla magazine but really, what had she done that was so inspirational?
I ‘fess to tearing up when I read her blog. Her spirit was determined and strong. And cancer did not deter her from her faith. I am still very touched as I read her blog, still being updated by her husband, Josef. If you or you know someone battling cancer, pass on the link. I am sure it would serve as a source of motivation and inspiration.

Next link up was The Girl Effect. Spotted while blog hopping, it speaks of empowerment and what changes a girl living in poverty can do should she be given the chance to. Learn about it in greater detail and decide for yourself whether it is true… or not. It is different from the normal slant of providing aid blindly… and does have potential. But of course, there will always be two sides to the coin.

Last up is True Moms Confessions. This was a fun read for me. Like a Post Secret for mums, it yielded some funny, some humourous, some sad confessions made by real life mums. What really got my attention was the banner… Motherhood is hard, admit it.
Really it is. More than I’d like to say. But I’d concede that it is rewarding … in its own way.

Am feeling under the weather but unlike the days of old (ie, before kid), I can’t quite just curl up under the sheets and stay in bed whilst the flu (I think it is flu!) passes. So as I watch whilst the bundle of energy runs around the house, I thought I’d sneak in a little post.

Spotted this ring on Design Is Mine and had to share. I love how simple the concept is… yet so beautiful. The sterling silver ring retails at USD 50 whilst the rose gold version goes for USD 300.
I’d take any version…
of a size 5 ring.
Ok, back to chasing after the boy on wobbly legs.

So did you get a move on making the clock in the last DIY project? Well, if you didn’t, you might be forgiven. Perhaps even turn it into a good excuse reason to buy this normal clock or wristwatch. I love the peekaboo nature of the watch, showing the numbers only when the hour hand passes over it. A nice interesting take on something so common place as a clock.

By now, you probably know the drill.
My top fave for the week is this pristine one by MollyJoy. Everything else is tied for second. Guess you can tell I don’t play favourites very well. Ok, except for Grass. It is not exactly my favourite shade of green but the treasury is really very well curated.
In any case, enjoy! And have fun. I’d see you again tomorrow.

I must admit that I was quite happy when this tutorial came up on Design*Sponge. I have a clock I bought whilst on honeymoon and I love it to bits. It is a simple one and I am sure that you can make it yourself as well. The fun part is the ceramic bowl can be filled with whatever you wish.

I think it is a lot simpler than the one here. Or you can go even more minimalistic and just do 4 screws to denote the standard 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock markings. Have fun! Oh, if I am not wrong clock components can be gotten at places like ArtFriend and SagaCity. Both located at Bras Basah Complex.
